So we've got in first with an election. Our new Prime Quiz Master is Jonathan Fellows, who is the only one of all our contestants who agreed to a man with my selection of the greatest Tottenham FA Cup combination.

A lot of you will be cussing and cursing, because so many were one or two players away from agreeing with my selection in this second Spurs Odyssey Quiz League tie breaker. Several of you were tripped up by my naming Mauricio Pochettino as the team's manager..........

Before they travelled, there didn't appear to be much enthusiasm for this game among playing staff and perhaps some of the coaches on either side. However, the match, played in front of a massive and enthusiastic crowd, was something of a homecoming for Ange Postecoglou who is the first Australian to manage/coach a Premier League side.

The match was drawn, with both goals scored in the first half when the teams fielded strong sides. In the second half, the event turned into an under-21 game, due to a mass of substitutions. Both managers seemed to be somewhat taken aback to find that there was a penalty shoot-out, which we lost. The most experienced player on the Spurs side took the first kick, which was the poorest of the nine taken and was saved by sub goalie Gillespie, who did seem to move ever so early.........

All's well that ends well. Spurs secured a comfortable win to guarantee fifth place and Group stage football in next season's Europa League. Elsewhere, Manchester City beat West Ham and won their fourth consecutive Premier League title, a feat never before achieved in English top flight football.

I have to report that Spurs fans were keeping a close eye on proceedings, taking every opportunity to bait Arsenal, who finished runners-up and who (like us!) are without a trophy this season.

The announcer at Bramall Lane spoke of the end of a fantastic season in the Premier League. I wondered what planet he was on, as Spurs' three goals maintained "The Blades" average of conceding three goals in every home league game. They have also conceded a record 104 Premier League goals and finished with a goal difference of -69, matched only by Derby in 2007-08.........

Crypto gambling platforms

It was indeed a surreal occasion. Very few Tottenham fans wanted to see City's progress against their arch-rivals impeded. I am sure many regulars stayed away. The pub I visited was very quiet, and I swear many ticket exchanges had taken place, judging by the unfamiliarity displayed by some of the fans attending. A good crowd figure was recorded, but many seats seemed to be empty just before kick-off.

The anti-Arsenal chants emanated from the South Stand soon after kick-off, which Spurs took, playing towards the North Stand........

Micky van de Ven was announced pre-match as the winner of all three Spurs player of the season awards (Senior & Junior members' vote plus young player award) and for the third time this season, Micky scored our winning goal. He had grabbed our winners against Luton and Nottingham Forest.

Burnley gave their all, and took a 25th minute lead, which made us work hard for the win which mathematically keeps us in the race for a Champions League place, but realistically keeps us on target for the Europa League. Once again, we failed to show the necessary urgency to win the game until the latter stages.......

The most epic thread on The Spurs Odyssey message board was one which started in 2010. This provided the history of our new stadium applications (including the thankfully unsuccessful bid for the Olympic Stadium) right up to the present day with images of the completed new stadium. In the early hours of Saturday 20th October, 2018, our stadium thread reached 1,000 pages! There is a genuine community feel about the board, which is moderated.

Every Spurs match is covered with excellent threads, which feature images and stats from previous games. There is so much to enjoy about the message board which also has an off-topic section where non-football matters are discussed.

There is also a great archive of filed material with links to some great Spurs history and goals.
